6,000 Youth and Women Empowered with New Skills as Better Life Foundation Holds Mega Graduation Ceremony
Kano, Nigeria – In a landmark event, the Better Life for Children and Women Future Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering youth and women, held a grand graduation ceremony for 6,000 beneficiaries who successfully completed various skills acquisition programs.
The event, which took place at the BUK Newsite, was attended by proud parents and guardians, community leaders, and dignitaries from across the region. The graduates, comprising youth and women from diverse backgrounds, were trained in a range of skills, including:
- Vocational Skills: Catering services, Fashion design, Cosmetology, and Photography
- Technical Skills: Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Solar energy installation, and Farming
- Entrepreneurial Skills: Entrepreneurship, Leadership, and Management
Under the visionary leadership of Amb. Dr. Sameera Abubakar, founder of the Better Life Foundation, the organization has been at the forefront of providing opportunities for youth and women to acquire skills, build confidence, and become self-sufficient.
In her keynote address, Amb. Dr. Sameera Abubakar emphasized the foundation’s commitment to eradicating poverty through skills acquisition and empowerment. “Our skills training programs are designed to boost the country’s economy and provide youth and women with the skills and knowledge required to succeed in the modern workforce,” she said. “Our target is to empower 10,000 youth in Kano and proceed across the 19 northern states, promoting sustainable development and reducing unemployment.”


The graduation ceremony was a testament to the foundation’s dedication to empowering marginalized communities and promoting economic growth. As the graduates received their certificates, the atmosphere was filled with joy, pride, and a sense of accomplishment.
