Introduction:

Better Life for Children and Women Future Foundation is a non-governmental organization (NGO) founded by Ambassador Dr. Sameera Abubakar, dedicated to improving the lives of disadvantaged children and women in Nigeria. The organization operates across 19 northern states, focusing on early childhood care and education, skills acquisition, and women empowerment.

Objectives:

– Provide early childhood care and education to socially and culturally disadvantaged children, particularly the girl-child.

– Empower women and youth through skills acquisition and training.

– Transform the lives of women and children for a brighter future.

Efforts:

– Inaugurated and trained 2000 youths and women in various skills acquisitions.

– Established vocational training centers for women and youth.

– Provided educational support to disadvantaged children.

– Organized community outreach programs to raise awareness on education, health, and women empowerment.

– Recently, the organization held a program at Bayero University Kano (BUK) where they trained women and youth in various skills.

– Additionally, they implemented a farming project at the Kano State Stadium, training over 600 women in agricultural businesses and production.

Recent Program at BUK, Kano:

The program at BUK, Kano, was a huge success, with over 2,500 participants in attendance. The training focused on entrepreneurship, leadership, and life skills. The participants were empowered with the knowledge and skills necessary to start and manage their own businesses.

Farming Project at Kano State Stadium:

The farming project was a massive success, with over 600 women trained in various agricultural businesses and production. The training covered topics such as crop farming, animal husbandry, and agribusiness management. The women were also provided with starter packs and equipment to start their own farms.

Impact:

– Improved the lives of over 2000 women and youth through skills acquisition and training.

– Enhanced the educational prospects of disadvantaged children.

Addressing Poverty:

By providing educational support to disadvantaged children, the organization helps break the cycle of poverty by giving them access to better educational opportunities.
