Kano Youth Empowerment Initiative Takes Off with Inauguration of Professional Entrepreneurship Training Skills Program

Kano, Nigeria – The Better Life for Children and Women Future Foundation has launched a groundbreaking initiative to empower Kano youth with the skills and resources needed to succeed in entrepreneurship. The program, titled “Kano Youth for Professional Entrepreneurship Training Skills,” was inaugurated on August 27, 2023, and ran until September 10, 2023.

This pioneering program marks a significant milestone in the foundation’s efforts to promote youth empowerment and economic development in Kano state. Over 2000 young people benefited from the initiative, which provided training in professional entrepreneurship skills, mentorship, and access to resources and networks.

“We are proud to launch this innovative program, which will equip Kano youth with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in the competitive world of entrepreneurship,” said Amb. Dr. Sameer Abubakar, leader of the foundation. “Our goal is to empower young people to become job creators, rather than job seekers, and to contribute to the economic growth and development of Kano state.”

The program’s curriculum covered essential topics such as business planning, marketing, finance, and leadership, as well as specialized skills training in technology, agriculture, and creative industries. Beneficiaries had access to mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities with successful entrepreneurs and industry experts.

The Better Life for Children and Women Future Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of children, women, and youth in Nigeria. The foundation works to provide access to education, healthcare, economic opportunities, and social justice.
